Yeah, David is a creep. A cannibal and a pedophile (and voiced by the thorn in my side, Nolan North). But... Yeah, I was actually sad when he died. Ellie went through such trauma.... She wasn't the same after that, if people didn't notice.
I would think this would be her final quote to David for me:
"F*ck you, I'm Ellie, I am the little girl who break the fingers of cannibal, hunger-games style, I beat you like sh!t, I see your men, I blow em away with my weapons and cunning wit, So F*CK YOU DAVID, F*CK YOUR CANNIBALS, F*CK YOUR ESTABLISHMENT, I AM THE ELLIE"
The building's on fire but Ellie just keeps beating the everloving holy shit out of the greasy bastard on the floor. The meaty smacks of her fists against his face drowns out the roars of the flames. She punches and punches and punches, just keeps punching until the action's become rote by repetition, so she starts mixing it up. She starts throwing kicks, and stomping on his face, and launching flying elbow drops from the tabletops. The building starts falling in around her and she just keeps going, harder and faster every second, until she's just a whirling, spinning machine of brutal smackdown, headbutts, and elbows with rocket-powered fists attached. Like a tire made entirely of fists just spinning in place on top of David with the weight of an entire Ellietruck squeezing down on it. The townspeople stand outside, just watching the towering inferno that's completely engulfed the building, and it sounds like a box of ammo has caught on fire inside; rapidfire muffled concussions, one after the other, like a whole barrel of firecrackers going off in quick succession in a confined space. That's the sound of her hitting him. She just keeps hitting him until every square inch of the building has gone up in flames and the roof collapses down on them like one giant flaming fist from god, and even then the sound of punching continues well into the early twilight hours.
Now it's the crack of dawn and Joel sits outside in the snow, alone, his eyes red-rimmed and his shoulders trembling from a night of sobbing, wishing he'd got there soon enough to pull her out of the fire. The building's just a smoldering heap of blackened sticks and timbers jutting this way, tendrils of smoke snaking up into the sky. And then Ellie rises naked from the ashes with David's teeth embedded in her knuckles and scattered across her shoulders. She turns to Joel, unsmiling. Perhaps never to smile again.
This is so awesome! XD To be honest, the only part of The Last of Us that scared me (legit scared me) was when David went all cray cray and tried to kill Ellie in the flaming building with a machete. Something about a crazed, cannibalistic man is more frightening to me than infected corpses that try to eat you, although the two aren't that different... Maybe it's because one has reason while the other does not... I CRINGED and JUMPED when David caught me and stabbed Ellie from behind ;^; it was so scary.... the look on Ellie's face as the machete goes right through her is... unbearable... and whenever an infected caught her and started noming her, I muted the TV so I didn't have to hear her screams... this never happened with Joel though XD I laughed when he got caught (cuz I got caught so much that it stopped freaking me out). When Ellie killed David I felt kind of relieved, I guess ^u^''
